From spreadsheet to software.
Three kinds of work, one way of doing it: a written scope, a fixed price, a demo every Friday and a proper handover.
-
Web apps and internal tools
The job a spreadsheet keeps getting wrong, turned into software your team can rely on on a Monday morning, with the rules written into the code.
-
Websites and product design
Clear, fast pages that explain what you do and make the next step obvious. Designed in the browser, so what you approve is what ships.
-
Care after launch
Monthly retainers for software that's already running: features, fixes, dependency and security updates, and a plain-English note every time something changes.
Real work you can open today.
Every one of these was designed and built by the studio, and says plainly where it's up to. Select a project for the details.

How a project runs.
The same four steps whether it's a two-week build or a year-long retainer.
-
A first conversation, by email
Free, and in writing. We ask about the problem and what it costs you now, not technology.
-
A written scope
What's in, what's out, a fixed price and a timeline, agreed before any work starts.
-
Building in the open
A staging link from week one and a short recorded demo every Friday, so nothing surprises you.
-
Handover and care
Your code, your hosting accounts and a runbook. A monthly care plan if you want one.
Tell us what keeps going wrong.
The most useful first message is the problem, not the solution: what the job is, who does it now and where it breaks. A real person replies, usually within two business days.

Vestline
Free early accessFor accountants and employers
Long service leave provisions under AASB 119, as a working paper your auditor can follow.
- 8States and territories covered
- 87Unit tests, plus 3 browser tests
- On deviceStaff data is never uploaded
- FreeEarly access build; no billing is set up
Purpose
Every Australian employer with long-serving staff carries a long service leave liability that AASB 119 says must be measured at present value and weighted by the chance staff reach it. Xero has said it isn't on its roadmap, so most small practices re-derive it in a spreadsheet each year. Vestline turns a payroll export into the provision, the current and non-current split, a sensitivity table and the year-end journal.
More detail
- Status
- A free early access build: every feature is included and there's nothing to pay, because no billing is set up. The method is waiting on an independent accountant's or actuary's review.
- Working paper
- A movement reconciliation from last year's balance with the journal and draft note, one-click column presets for Xero, Employment Hero and MYOB exports, row-by-row checks that stop a bad payroll row giving a wrong figure, and a workbook where every figure is a formula an auditor can re-perform.
- Built with
- React, TypeScript, Cloudflare Pages Functions and Capacitor for the mobile builds.
- Licences
- HMAC-signed keys, so there's no customer database to keep.
- Limits
- General private-sector Acts only. Mortality isn't modelled, and turnover and salary growth are the preparer's assumptions.
Minishift
Free early accessFor hospitality, retail, gyms and clinics with 5 to 100 shift workers
Rostering that refuses a roster which breaks a 12-hour day, 152 hours a month or 10 hours' rest between days.
- 12hDaily cap, enforced by the solver
- 152hMonthly cap
- 10hRest between consecutive days
- FreeEarly access build; no billing is set up
Purpose
A spreadsheet can add up hours, but it can't refuse a bad roster. Most rostering tools either don't enforce labour limits or are priced for enterprise procurement. Minishift puts three documented limits inside the solver, where the roster is built, at a price a small business can sign up for itself.
More detail
- Status
- A free early access build at minishift.campsitestudios.net. Every workspace gets every feature and there's nothing to pay, because no billing is set up. Each venue's data is kept to that venue.
- Unfilled shifts
- For every shift the solver couldn't fill, the people it considered and the rule or availability that ruled each one out; hours spread fairly across staff; venue times that follow daylight saving; and a printable receipt each time a roster is published.
- Features
- Auto-scheduling, availability, shift trading and bidding, roster templates and invite-code onboarding.
- HR tools
- Policies and acknowledgements, onboarding and offboarding, employee profiles and reporting, included in the early access build.
- Built with
- React, Express, PostgreSQL, Redis and a Python OR-Tools scheduler, with 450 server tests and 73 scheduler tests. Stripe billing is built but switched off.
- Limits
- A rostering control, not award interpretation.
Docketeer
Free early accessFor accountants, bookkeepers and brokers
One checklist and one private client link, so the document chase never lives in an email thread.
- 8Ready-made Australian checklists
- 14 daysHow long a client link lasts
- 20 MBLargest file a client can upload
- 7 to 90Days files are kept, your choice
Purpose
Every quarter, professionals ask clients for the same statements and receipts, then lose track of what has arrived across a long email thread. Docketeer keeps the list, the link and the missing items in one place, and the client never needs an account.
More detail
- Checklists
- BAS quarter, individual, company and SMSF returns, rental property schedule, new-client onboarding, first-home loan and ASIC annual review, or a custom list.
- Storage
- Files in Cloudflare Workers KV, encrypted at rest. Checklist details in Cloudflare D1.
- Limits
- No email or reminders yet. Links are bearer links, so share them as carefully as the documents.
- Status
- A free early access build: every feature is included and there's nothing to pay, because no billing is set up.
- Requests and records
- Requests timed to the BAS lodgement date, the practice named on the client's page, downloads with a dated record of what was received, downloaded and deleted, and a recovery key so a desk isn't lost with a browser.
NoticeKit
Free early accessFor self-managing landlords
Tenancy notice dates counted properly, with the rule and the official form beside the answer.
- 4Verified notices in NSW, Vic, SA and WA
- 100Tests, including date boundaries
- NoneNo account or server; records stay in your browser
- FreeEarly access build; no account needed
Purpose
Getting a notice date wrong by a day can mean starting the process again, and a wrong notice or form can lead to a compensation claim. NoticeKit keeps the arithmetic, the rule version and the official form together, so the answer can be checked rather than taken on trust.
More detail
- Supported
- NSW non-payment termination, Victorian notice to vacate for unpaid rent, South Australian Form 5 for unpaid rent, and WA fixed-term expiry.
- Switched off
- ACT, Northern Territory, Queensland and Tasmania, until a rule and form are verified. It never borrows another state’s rule.
- Limits
- General information, not legal advice. It doesn't decide whether service was valid.
- Delivery and records
- The date a notice counts as received, worked out from how it was delivered, but only where the official source states the rule; printable and exportable records; and a flag on any saved record worked out under rules that have since changed.
SubbieCheck
Free early accessFor builders with a small roster of subcontractors
Subcontractor documents, expiry dates and a Monday list of who needs chasing.
- 14 daysHow long an upload link lasts
- 20 MBLargest file per upload
- 30 daysHow long the workspace stays signed in
- ManualEvery file is reviewed by the builder
Purpose
Before a subcontractor starts on site, the builder needs their insurance and licences on file and in date. That paperwork usually lives in inboxes and phone photos. SubbieCheck gives each subcontractor a signed upload link to paste into SMS or WhatsApp, and keeps a status board and Monday list current.
More detail
- How it works
- List the documents each subcontractor must supply, send the link, review each file yourself and record its expiry.
- Limits
- A record-keeping aid, not a credential check. It doesn't verify insurance cover, licence validity or the dates entered.
- Status
- A free early access build: every feature is included and there's nothing to pay, because no billing is set up.
- Next release
- What the demo shows: a printable Monday gate sheet of who is clear for site, a dated trail of public-register licence checks, a phone-first upload page, stricter file handling and a recovery key for the register.
TagRegister
Free early accessFor electrical contractors and facilities teams
Test-and-tag records, with next-due dates from interval rules you set and confirm.
- PDFRegister export, plus printable tag data
- VersionedInterval rules you enter and confirm
- NoneFiles, emails or payment details collected
- 30 daysHow long the workspace stays signed in
Purpose
Test-and-tag records tend to end up scattered across spreadsheets, with next-due dates worked out by hand. TagRegister keeps each appliance's history, readings and outcome together, and calculates the next date only from a rule the workspace owner has confirmed.
More detail
- Records
- Appliance, location, tester, observed readings, pass or fail, and test and tag dates.
- Limits
- No AS/NZS 3760 interval table, no safety judgement and no certification.
- Status
- A free early access build: every feature is included and there's nothing to pay, because no billing is set up.
- Next release
- What the demo shows: A4 tag labels whose QR code opens a read-only status page, a preview of which appliances fall due before an interval change is confirmed, editing and retiring appliances, and a recovery key for the register.
Rdlog
Free early accessFor founders, engineers and R&D leads
R&D experiment records, hash-linked and timestamped as you write them.
- 2OpenTimestamps receipts per entry
- SHA-256Hash linking each entry to the last
- JSONOne export pack for your adviser
- MITLicence; the source isn't published yet
Purpose
Australian Government guidance says R&D records should be created at the time the activity is conducted, and notes written up months later are hard to stand behind. Rdlog keeps an append-only record of the hypothesis, method, observations and conclusion while the work happens.
More detail
- Corrections
- Amendments are hashed separately, and the original entry stays visible.
- Privacy
- The timestamp calendars receive only a hash, never the experiment text.
- Limits
- No tax advice or eligibility decision. A fresh receipt isn't yet a verified Bitcoin timestamp.
- Next release
- What the demo shows: how long after the work each entry was written, receipts that upgrade when a calendar reports a Bitcoin block, downloadable .ots proof files, entries anchored to a Git commit, and a printable evidence pack.
LoopLens
Free early accessFor developers running AI agent loops
Watch an AI agent loop run iteration by iteration: prompt, model, cost and stop check.
- NoneDependencies: a single Node server
- LocalBound to 127.0.0.1 on your machine
- 3Backends: Claude, OmniRoute and a mock
- FreeReplays that spend no quota
Purpose
When an agent loop goes wrong, the useful question is which iteration went wrong and why, and logs rarely make that easy to see. LoopLens drives the loop itself and streams every step to the browser, including the stop check that decides whether it runs again.
More detail
- Records
- The prompt sent, the model that actually answered, tool calls, tokens, cost and the stop reason.
- What-if checks
- Re-check a recorded run against a stricter stop condition, a token ceiling or a cost cap, and see which pass it would have stopped at and what that would have saved. It's in the next release, and it's what the demo shows.
- Status
- Free early access by request. The mock backend and replays are tested; the Claude backend was reworked in this release and still needs one live run to confirm it, and OmniRoute is untested. It's a free early access build: every feature is included and there's nothing to pay.
- Safety
- It refuses requests from any other website, and permissions come only from your own environment.
RecipeBrowser
Free early accessFor home cooks and families
Family recipes in one place: remix a recipe with a link back to the original, and cook American recipes in Australian measures.
- 98Unit tests, plus 13 browser tests
- 250 mlAustralian cup, with 20 ml tablespoons, grams and degrees C
- FreeSharing, remixes, comments and ratings
- FreeEarly access build, family cookbook included
Purpose
Family recipes end up spread across text messages, photos of index cards and bookmarked American sites that measure in cups, sticks and degrees Fahrenheit. RecipeBrowser keeps them in one place, shows how each version grew out of the last, and converts American recipes to the measures an Australian kitchen uses.
More detail
- Cook it the Aussie way
- One tap turns US cups into grams or millilitres, US tablespoons into 20 ml Australian ones, sticks and pounds into grams and Fahrenheit into Celsius with a fan-forced figure, and renames ingredients such as heavy cream and cilantro.
- Family recipe tree
- Every remix links back to the recipe it came from, with a note on what changed and a side-by-side comparison of ingredients and steps.
- Also
- Import codes, likes, comments and ratings, serving scaling, and a cook mode that keeps the screen awake.
- Status
- In development. An older build is online, and the release shown in the demo isn't deployed yet. It's a free early access build: the shared family cookbook and every other feature are included, with nothing to pay.
- Built with
- Next.js, PostgreSQL, Prisma and Better Auth, with Jest and Playwright tests.
