Build careful software with us.

We're a small, remote studio. We work with a handful of contractors we trust, and we're always glad to meet more people who care about doing the job properly.

What working with us is like

Contract work, project by project, with the same habits we promise clients: written scope, sensible hours and a proper handover. Read more on our culture page.

Remote within Australia

Work from wherever you do your best thinking. We meet in person when a project needs it.

Hours that suit you

We write things down and work asynchronously, with one short call a week.

Paid on time

Invoices are paid within seven days. Trial tasks are paid at your rate too.

Real ownership

You ship to production, talk to clients directly and see your work used.

No crunch

Timelines are set with buffer. If something slips, we move the date, not your weekend.

Work worth doing

Small tools that fix real problems for real businesses, built to last.

Open roles: who we'd like to meet.

Both roles are contract, remote within Australia and part time to start. We're building a small bench of people to call on as projects come in.

Full-stack developer

Contract, remote within Australia

You're comfortable across TypeScript, a database and a deployment pipeline. You write tests without being asked, and you'd rather ship a small thing properly than a big thing roughly.

Product designer

Contract, remote within Australia

You design in the browser or close to it, care about forms and error messages as much as hero sections, and can explain a design decision in plain English.

How we hire: four steps, no puzzles.

  1. Send a note

A few lines about you and a link to work you're proud of. A CV is optional.

  2. A short call

Thirty minutes to talk about how you work. No whiteboard puzzles or trick questions.

  3. A paid trial task

A small, real piece of work, paid at your rate, so we both find out how working together feels.

  4. Your first project

We start with something well scoped and build from there.
